Company Update: Letter to Our Valued Clientele

At the beginning of August, Ruhl Insurance experienced a sudden, heartbreaking loss with the unexpected death of my father and our agency President, Nevin H Dourte. To those of you who have reached out to my family and/or the agency during this challenging time, thank you–we appreciate your prayers and support.
I wanted to reach out to you and share some important information related to your policy/policies.
Ruhl Insurance has been an independent, family-run agency for the last 80 years. Since our founding by my great-grandfather, Jacob (Jake) H Ruhl in 1943, the foremost commitment of Ruhl Insurance has been to provide a high level of customer care and service to our clients. My grandfather, Donald (Don) E Ruhl expanded on this vision during his tenure as President and helped to establish the agency as a cornerstone of the Manheim Business Community. Nevin (Dad) took over primary leadership of the agency in early 2017 and I joined the agency in June 2017 as Operations Manager. Currently, I serve as agency Vice President/President-Elect.
As an independent agent, we represent multiple insurance companies (carriers) through whom we can secure coverage for our clients. The carriers represented by Ruhl Insurance are A-rated in the industry and each have their own histories of strong commitment to customer care. Our relationship with these companies remains intact, allowing continuity of coverage for all our insureds.
A driving force behind our ability to provide excellent customer service is our dedicated staff. Each client has an assigned account manager who handles the daily service of policies. While Dad (Nevin) was a very hands-on President and often spoke individually to clients when they would call the office, it is the individual account managers who are providing the quality customer service our clients have come to know and expect from Ruhl Insurance. I am thankful to each of them for their continued commitment and loyalty to the agency and me during this challenging time.
With the strength of our carrier relationships and the commitment of our staff, we continue to be able to provide the same dedicated customer service and support we always have, which is exactly what Dad (Nevin) would have wanted. Your insurance coverage is in good hands with the team at Ruhl Insurance and we thank you for being a valued part of our agency family.
