- Joined the Ruhl team in 1994
- Completed his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2000
- Received the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designation in 2007
- Graduated from Millersville University
- Resides with his wife Marcy on a small farm near Hellam, they have 3 children
- Member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church in East York, where he serves as church historian

- Married to David with two daughters and two grandchildren

- Married to husband, Randy, with 3 children and 8 grandchildren

- Has two beautiful cat children: Miso and Toast, and a lovely spouse: James Grilli
- Enjoys watching horror movies, eating pastries, and playing video games
